Infant
- Breast milk or infant formula contains all the nutrients required.
1 – 3 Years
- Increased need in all vitamins, excluding Vitamin D.
- Same need for calcium, phosphorus and iron.
- Increased need for all the other minerals excluding zinc.
4 – 6 Years
- Increased need fro protein.
- Increased need for all the vitamins (excluding Vitamin C and Vitamin D).
- Increased need for all the minerals (excluding iron).
7 – 10 Years
- Dramatic increase in energy and protein need.
- Increased requirement for most of the vitamins and minerals (excluding Vitamin B1, Vitamin C and Vitamin A).
11 – 14 Years
- Energy and protein requirements increase by approximately 50%.
- Increased need for most of the vitamins and minerals.
